100 Information Heroes
For the first time, in 2014, Reporters Without Borders put together a list of "100 Information Heroes". Compiled to mark World Press Freedom Day (May 3) the list includes profiles of courageous men and women who have dedicated and often sacrificed their lives to uncover thruths and facts.
Ganimat Zahid, Khadija Ismayilova and Malahat Nasibova represent Azerbaijan.

Khadija is translating a new book while in prison
From the most recent updates from Ismayilova's lawyer Fariz Namazov, Khadija is doing well and is in high spirits.
Khadija Ismayilova was arrested December 5 and placed in two months pre-trial detention. On January 27, her sentence was extended by another month and 19 days.
In her most recent letter sent from prison, Khadija said she was translating a new book - Sahar Delijani's "Children of the Jacaranda Tree".
