Appeal court in Baku ruled to keep Khadija Ismayilova in jail
During the hearing today, December 11, Baku court of appeal ruled against Khadija Ismayilova's appeal
Lawyer Yalchin Imanov said, "We are not aware of the reasons for the court's decision. When the ruling was declared no reasons were specified. They only said the appeal was ruled against.
"She is arrested based on the following two reasons - impeding investigation process and illegal influence over trial participants" added Imanov.
Khadija Ismayilova who was at the hearing said the arrest was "illegal", adding, "I am a free person. I was free when I was out and I am free here in prison. My arrest does not change this fact".

Azerbaijani pro-government media outlet is using Khadija Ismayilova's arrest to spark anti- Armenian sentiments in Azerbaijan.
The article published today in a pro-government site claims that Armenian journalists and bloggers launched support campaign for Khadija sharing news and updates via their Facebook and Twitter profiles with #khadijaismayil.
However no reference is given to any of the responses and support campaigns launched on an international level and that #khadijaismayil is used internationally.
