On December 2, the Baku Grave Crimes Court continued the hearing in the case of journalist Rauf Mirkadirov.
The hearing is held behind closed doors.
Several witnesses were brought in for questioning during the hearing which took place earlier today.
According to AzadliqRadiosu the hearing will continue December 9.
Rauf Mirkadirov was arrested on April 19, 2014 in Turkey. He was then deported to Azerbaijan where he was arrested based on Article 274 of the Criminal Code “treason”. Mirkadirov denies the charges and calls it a political order in retaliation to his journalism.
The Ministry of National Security carried out the investigation into Mirkadirov’s case.
